Stakeholder Mapping & Influence Plan (interactive template)

Use this template to map stakeholders, prioritize engagement, and capture mitigation steps that reduce adoption risk.

This interactive template supports up to eight named stakeholders. For each person or group, record their role, influence, support level, recommended engagement frequency, a short engagement script, and any adoption risks with mitigations. If you have more stakeholders, copy this template into a new plan or use the CSV export option (after submission) to continue your list.

Tip: Focus first on high-influence or low-support stakeholders. Identify sponsors you can activate quickly and a small set of mitigation actions to reduce early resistance.

Use or adapt these short templates: • Sponsors: 'We need your visible support this month to unblock resources for the pilot. Your endorsement will shorten the rollout time.' • Skeptics: 'I appreciate your concern. Can we run a short pilot in your team so you can see the outcomes before a wider rollout?' • Neutrals: 'We value your input. Would you join a feedback session to help shape the first release?' Include one-sentence value statements and a clear next step.
