Daily Demand Forecast Submission

This interactive worksheet is the operational companion to the Basic Demand Forecasting Workbook. Use it each morning to record the forecast you will act on and again at the end of the day to record actual sales so your team can measure accuracy and learn what adjustments work. All submissions are stored so you can review trends, compute accuracy metrics, and refine multipliers over time.

Fields marked required should be completed to keep records auditable. Use YYYY-MM-DD for dates.

Single SKU name or category (e.g., 'House Salad' or 'Entrees')
Baseline from your spreadsheet (moving average / smoothing)
How many units of this ingredient per served dish. Optional for category-level forecasts.
Is there a promotion or special pricing expected to change demand?
Enter 1.10 for +10% or 0.9 for -10%. Leave blank if not applicable.
Local events, games, or nearby activities that might change traffic
e.g., 1.2 for +20%; leave blank if not applicable
Flag if rain, heat, snow, etc., typically changes your demand
e.g., 0.85 for -15% (leave blank if not used)
Optional: if you are short-staffed, enter the max expected covers or capacity number
Any other manual percent adjustment as a multiplier (e.g., 1.10)
Short note explaining the 'other' adjustment
Enter the final forecast you will use for ordering (Baseline × multipliers or manager judgement)
Quantity to order today after applying lead time and safety stock (suggested: compute in your reorder sheet)
Name or role of the person responsible for placing the order
One-line reason for adjustments so others can learn
Fill this at end of day to record actual demand and enable accuracy tracking
