Daily Sanitation Log & Verification Checklist

Purpose

Use this log to make cleaning and sanitizing routine, verifiable, and inspection-ready. Complete each task, add notes when needed, and have a supervisor/auditor verify and record any corrective actions.

Quick guidance

Approved cleaners: Quaternary ammonium (quat) for food contact surfaces after cleaning; chlorine-based sanitizers for high-risk areas where recommended; EPA-registered sanitizers per manufacturer instructions. Contact times: Follow label instructions — common contact times are 30 seconds to 10 minutes depending on product and surface. Always pre-clean visible soils before applying sanitizer.

If you are unsure which product to use for a surface or food-contact area, consult the site chemical SDS and the manager on duty.
