Digital Temperature Log (mobile-friendly)

Use this mobile-friendly log to record spot-check or sensor-imported temperature readings. Complete every required field. If a reading falls outside the acceptable range, record corrective actions and follow escalation rules so the record is inspection-ready and immediately useful for follow-up.

Quick examples of escalation rules (adapt these to your policy): if reading is at or beyond critical limits: discard affected product, notify manager immediately, document corrective action, and re-check after 15 minutes. If reading is slightly outside acceptable range: adjust holding equipment and re-check in 10 minutes. When sensors are available, map the sensor feed to this same record structure and enable auto-alerts for threshold breaches.

Where the temperature was measured (choose the best match).
Device may auto-populate time on submit. If entering manually use YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM (local time).
Initials of the person taking the reading for traceability.
Measured temperature in °C. If your team records in °F, convert or note unit in the notes field.
Lower bound of acceptable range for this product/location (set per your SOP).
Upper bound of acceptable range for this product/location (set per your SOP).
Select Yes if the reading is between the min and max values. If unsure, select No and document follow-up. (When integrated, the system can auto-evaluate this.)
Select Yes when the reading is out-of-range or you took action to fix a condition.
Describe what was done (e.g., adjusted thermostat, discarded product, moved items). Include who was notified, time, and planned follow-up checks. (Make this required locally if 'corrective_action_needed' is Yes.)
Primary escalation or follow-up. If Other, describe in corrective action details.
Select Yes if this reading was automatically imported from a connected temperature sensor.
Identifier for the sensor or device (if applicable).
Context (door left open, power interruption, sample vs. product holding, unit calibration note, etc.).
