Leadership reflection: Where do decisions get stuck?
Spend 10–15 minutes on these prompts alone or with a co-leader. Honest answers often point directly to practical fixes.
- Which three decisions caused the most delay or rework in the last quarter? Write them down.
- For each decision, who has the final say today — is that person visible to the team?
- Which recurring meetings feel necessary but rarely produce decisions? What would you change about one of them?
- Where do handoffs routinely cause rework? Is the receiver clear, and are acceptance criteria documented?
- What small experiment could you run this week to reduce one source of friction? (Name the experiment, owner, and how you’ll measure success.)
Capture your answers and pick one experiment to try immediately. Small experiments compound into reliable operating habits over time.
