Daily learning routines checklist (start small)
Use this short checklist to run a practical, 10–15 minute learning routine that fits most teams.
- Start on time, keep it short (10–15 min) — Timebox to make it repeatable.
- One clear purpose — e.g., reduce a recurring error, surface improvement ideas, or share a recent near-miss.
- Rotate the facilitator — keep engagement and distribute ownership.
- Capture one actionable item — name it, assign an owner, and set a due date (no more than 3 items active at once).
- Log the insight — short note in a shared place (1–2 sentences or a photo of a whiteboard) so others can find it.
- Measure one process indicator — did the huddle happen? Were items captured? (Yes/No)
- Close with one quick learning — each person names one small takeaway or question to test.
Tip: Replace an existing meeting that provides less value rather than adding a new one. Small, consistent rituals beat occasional grand events.
