Use this single-page brief to align stakeholders before a pilot. Keep it concise and evidence-focused.
Title
Short descriptive name.
Problem / Context
One paragraph: who is affected, current process, and pain points (quantify where possible).
Proposed AI solution
Short description of what the pilot will do and where it will sit in the workflow.
Desired outcome & success metric(s)
List primary metric and one secondary metric. Include baseline numbers and target improvement.
Evidence & assumptions
Key data points supporting value (sample counts, error rates, cost per unit) and top 3 assumptions you will validate in the pilot.
Scope & timeline
Define pilot scope (sample size/users/period) and an expected timeline for discovery, pilot, and review.
Team & resources
List pilot lead, engineering owner, subject-matter expert, and any third-party tools or vendors.
Risks & mitigation
Top risks and how you will mitigate them (data gaps, error rates, compliance concerns).
Recommended decision
Recommend one of: Approve pilot; Fund limited discovery; Defer; Reject. Include required budget or hours if seeking approval.
