Pre-Huddle Data & Safety Checklist

Run this short checklist before the meeting so the huddle focuses on decisions, not data disagreements.

  1. Metrics refreshed — Confirm each KPI value is computed from the latest data and note the timestamp or data cut.
  2. Owner identified — Each metric has a named owner who can explain the measurement and source.
  3. Data sources documented — For each KPI, list the source system and query or report used to compute it.
  4. Supporting artifact attached — Provide at least one artifact for any metric flagged as amber/red (chart, sample outputs, logs).
  5. Model version noted — Record which model version(s) are active in the environment under review.
  6. Drift & data quality checks enabled — Verify drift detectors and data-quality monitors are running and their latest alerts are reviewed.
  7. Incidents logged — Confirm any incidents since the last huddle are recorded in the incident tracker with owner and status.
  8. Privacy/regulatory concerns surfaced — If relevant, ensure any potential privacy or compliance issues are flagged and the compliance contact is available.
  9. Experiment status — Note whether an experiment/A-B test is running that could affect metrics.
  10. Communication ready — For any customer-impacting action, have a draft communication and an approval owner identified.
