Prioritization & System Impact Worksheet
Use this worksheet to convert audit findings into a short, prioritized action list. Score each candidate action on Impact, Systemic Reach, and Effort, then calculate a priority score.
How to score
- Impact (1–5): How much will this reduce safety risk, defects, delays, cost, or downtime? (5 = very high)
- Systemic Reach (1–5): Does the fix change a local practice (1) or the system (5) — e.g., process design, supply rules, or standard work?
- Effort (1–5): Estimated effort and time to deliver (1 = high effort, long time; 5 = low effort, quick win). Note: Effort is scored inversely to keep the math simple.
Priority score
Priority = Impact × Systemic Reach × Effort (higher is better). Focus on items with the highest scores and that include a named owner and verification step.
Worksheet table (copy into your spreadsheet)
| Finding / Opportunity | Impact (1–5) | Systemic Reach (1–5) | Effort (1–5) | Priority Score | Owner | Target Date | Verification (metric/check) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Example: Inconsistent gasket inspection | 4 | 4 | 5 | 80 | Maintenance lead | 2 weeks | Defect rate for gasket-related leaks < 1% |
Next steps
- Choose top 3 actions from the worksheet.
- Confirm owners, short verification steps, and a check-in date (one sprint or 30 days).
- Track progress in your next operational huddle and update the worksheet after verification.
