Operational integration & governance checklist
Use this checklist to reduce risk and ensure the pilot is operationally useful and trustworthy.
- Stakeholder alignment
- Sponsor identified and committed to pilot resources.
- Maintenance, reliability, IT/OT, and data owners named.
- Data governance
- Sensor ownership and access permissions documented.
- Clock synchronization and timestamp conventions verified.
- Data retention and privacy requirements considered.
- Alert design
- Alert destinations (roles, not generic lists) are defined.
- Alert severity levels and required response times are set.
- Each alert includes a suggested verification step and priority guidance.
- False positive management
- Procedure for tagging alerts as true/false/inconclusive established.
- Plan for tuning thresholds or retraining models after review.
- Verification & feedback loop
- How verification results are recorded (simple form, log entry) is decided.
- Weekly review meetings include sample alerts and decisions.
- Huddle integration
- Pilot metrics are visible in daily/weekly huddles (e.g., recent alerts, true/false rate, downtime impact).
- Training & documentation
- Short quick-reference guide for technicians on what to do when alerted.
- Contact list for escalation and data questions.
- Safety & risk
- Ensure alert actions do not create unsafe conditions; review with safety team if required.
