Quick-start: Deliver a meaningful decision in two weeks

Follow these steps to produce a measurable decision or actionable insight within 14 days.

  1. Day 0 — Pick one decision. Write a one-sentence decision question and assign an owner (use the Decision Brief).
  2. Day 1 — Pick 1 metric & capture baseline. Use the Measurement Plan checklist to record source and baseline (30–60 minutes).
  3. Days 2–3 — Explore data quickly. Do 2–3 simple analyses to identify promising options and form a hypothesis (half-day).
  4. Days 4–5 — Design a small test. Use the Experiment Planner to define scope, duration (7–14 days), metric, and stop criteria.
  5. Week 2 — Run the test and monitor. Check the agreed monitoring cadence, log anomalies, and don't change the test mid-flight unless stop criteria hit.
  6. End of week 2 — Review and decide. Meet for a 30–60 minute review: review the Decision Brief, experiment outcomes, and choose next steps (adopt, iterate, or stop).
  7. Follow-up — Capture learnings. Record what changed in the Decision Brief, update metrics, and schedule the next review.

Estimated total effort: 1–3 person-days of analysis + lightweight coordination. This sequence creates visible progress and reduces the risk of endless analysis without action.
